    - [How to Create Content with Signed Distance Functions](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s8nFqwOho-s), by Johann Korndorfer is a good introduction

    - The [Distance Estimated 3D Fractals](http://blog.hvidtfeldts.net/index.php/2011/06/distance-estimated-3d-fractals-part-i/) series is also an excellent introduction to SDFs. Later entries also handle lighting and rendering fractals, but you can just read the first entries to learn about SDFs.
